Rear brake proportioning valve MK1/2 and Cooper S MK3. This valve regulates the flow of fluid to the rear brakes under heavy braking. The front brakes do most of the work during braking, this valve controls the rears preventing brakes from locking up. This prevents loss of control if braking while turning.
